Building Stronger Communities, One Home at a Time.

I enjoy working beside the new homeowner and watching their pride as they see what they are creating, and then seeing them as they accept their bible and keys at the home dedication.

Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, both on construction sites and on the Board, has been incredibly rewarding. I appreciate the organization’s goal of a ‘hand up’ and the commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty through home ownership and financial education.

I’m grateful that Habitat for Humanity provides the opportunity for me to work in service for my community. By the end of a workday on a Habitat house, I’m rewarded with new friendships made through the shared experience.

It is always a privilege to serve in my community and meet families who will occupy beautiful homes in some of the most historic areas of my city. We are grateful to have an organization like Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area who makes such a difference in our community, in peoples’ lives each and every day, and in allowing us to help build homes from the ground up.
